India Reports Suspected Swine Flu Case

An overseas Indian who flew to Hyderabad, central India from the United States Wednesday was suspected to have been infected with the swine flu and has been quarantined, reported the local daily Times of India on Thursday.

The passenger, who flew in from Texas where the first swine flu death outside Mexico was reported, was found on Wednesday to have swine flu symptoms when doctors checked his health at his home, according to the report.

Indian government has organized special teams of doctors for screening passengers from Mexico, the United States and other affected countries who entered the country in the last 10 days.

The teams have been going to the homes of these people to conduct health check-ups.
