1st Swine Flu Suspect Detected in Finland

The first suspected case of swine flu was detected in Finland on Wednesday, the local media reported.
A woman, who had recently returned from Mexico, was admitted to a hospital located in the city of Lahti after she complained of flu symptoms.
Her infection is believed to be mild and she is in no danger. The woman has been quarantined, and all who had come in contact with her have been informed.
Laboratory tests have been carried out and results will be available within a week.
The Finnish Prime Minister said on Tuesday that the country was preparing for a possible swine flu pandemic.
Finnsh media reported that the country was planning to launch an anti-swine flu campaign based on an action plan drawn up in 2006 during the avian influenza pandemic.
