Relief Materials to Get to Qinghai Quickly, Says China Railway Ministry

China's Ministry of Railway said Friday it would do its utmost to ensure prompt transportation of relief materials to the quake-hit zone in northwest China's Qinghai Province.
Minister Liu Zhijun said the Ministry had prioritized quake relief to make sure all relief materials get to the quake zone as quickly as possible.
By the noon of Friday, 42 cargo trains had carried 22,099 tents, 58,837 cotton-padded overcoats, 144,950 quilts among other badly needed materials to Yushu, Qinghai Province.
In addition, 11 passenger trains had been mobilized to carry 1,317 medical staff to the quake-hit area.
