Several batches of people seriously injured in the 7.1-magnitude earthquake in Yushu of Qinghai Province Wednesday were transferred to the local airport and put onto two planes there Thursday, said authorities.

The injured would be flown from the Batang airport in Yushu to Xining, provincial capital of Qinghai, and Chengdu, capital of Sichuan Province, for treatment late Thursday.
