The Ministry of Health has set up a group on disaster relief and disease prevention for the Yushu earthquake.

The first-class response plan has gone into effect. The ministry has dispatched personnel from Beijing and Tianjin to the quake zone.

18 teams of 396 health experts and 60 teams of 1,320 health care workers are on stand by.
