China's courts at all levels tried and concluded 519,000 financial cases last year, up 12.9 percent from the previous year, top judge Wang Shengjun said Thursday.
The courts "prudently" handled enterprise bankruptcy cases, and the number of such cases dropped 4.7 percent to 3,573.
Wang, president of the Supreme People's Court, gave the figures when delivering the supreme court's work report to the annual session of the National People's Congress (NPC), or the parliament.
