China last year investigated 2,687 government officials for graft, malfeasance and infringement on people's rights, including four at the province or ministry level, a report said on Tuesday.

China's Prosecutor-General Cao Jianming delivered the report on the work of the Supreme People's Procuratorate at the Second Session of the 11th National People's Congress, or parliament.
