Cuban University Students Donate Blood for Haiti's Quake Victims

Cuban university students and professors donated blood Thursday for the Haitian victims in the magnitude-7.3 quake that shook the Caribbean country on January 12.
At a mobile blood bank in the University of Havana, students told local TV channel television de Cuba they were ready to aid the injured by donating blood.
Haiti's Civil Defense Department said Tuesday the quake had killed 75,000 people, injured 250,000 others and left a million homeless.
Officials estimate the final death toll may reach between 100,000 and 200,000.
After the devastating quake, Cuba immediately sent medical aid including doctors, nurses and health technicians to Haiti.
