Glimmer of Hope Remains

Rescue workers are continuing to sift through the rubble of Haiti's earthquake ravaged capital in a desperate battle to free survivors. While for many the situation remains bleak more than five days after the devastating tremor, there have been a few glimmers of hope for some people still searching for their loved ones.

A reunited handshake. 43-year-old Jean Batiste is a Haitian nurse. When Haiti's worst earthquake levelled the hospital where she works, Batiste was buried under the rubble, with her unborn child.

Marco Antonio Leoncio, a Brazilian Sergeant,came to Batiste's rescue.
