New life has brought a rare moment of joy to the ruins of Haiti. A baby boy was delivered with the help of an Israeli medical team in Port-au-Prince on Sunday.

The infant surprised his mother by coming a month early. But with the help of the Israeli medical team, she gave birth to a healthy baby.

The new-born was named "Israel", in honor of the doctors. It brought them some happiness, amidst the death and sickness they're dealing with.

Doctor Shir Dar, Israeli Medecal Team, said, "One of the most moving moments was when the man that brought the lady into our hospital came in and said the baby should be named 'Israel'. It can be a reminder he was born in the Israeli field hospital."
