Thailand Prepares Additional Aid for Quake-hit Haiti

Thailand is preparing additional aid for quake-ravaged Haiti, Foreign Minister Kasit Piromya disclosed Monday.
The weekly cabinet meeting Tuesday will discuss additional financial aid for Haiti, Kasit was quoted by Thai News Agency as saying.
The Thai government last Thursday approved a preliminary fund of US$20,000 for Haiti in the wake of the powerful quake.
Thailand is also preparing other humanitarian aid including rice for the victims of quake in Haiti, the Thai foreign minister said.
Moreover, the Thai government is going to cooperate with the United Nations to arrange a medium-term aid for Haiti, Kasit said.
