China has expressed its sympathy and condolences to the people of Haiti in the aftermath of the quake. China's Foreign Ministry has also offered assistance to Chinese who are studying or working in Haiti.

The Ministry has set up two 24-hour hotlines for people to get more information. Those interested in making donations to relief efforts are encouraged to contact the Red Cross Society of China on the number displayed on your screen. The Red Cross's website also has information on how people can donate money or needed items.
