The Polish branch of UNICEF Wednesday donated 100,000 zloty (about US$35,700) in aid to earthquake victims in Haiti.
The organization also appealed to the Polish interior ministry to launch public collections for the quake victims.
Hundreds of Haitians died Tuesday as a 7.0-magnitude earthquake, most powerful in more than 200 years, ravaged the island. Thousand more may be buried under rubble.
