The Israeli army forces arrested on Sunday eight Palestinians in the Palestinian territories including four fishermen in the Hamas-ruled Gaza Strip, Palestinian security sources said.
The sources said that the Israeli army arrested four West Bank resident, including a 45-year-old woman, after she poured dirty water at an Israel member of parliament who came to visit Sheikh Jarah quarter in east Jerusalem.
The sources also said that two more Palestinians were arrested in the village of Sorif west of the southern West Bank city of Hebron, adding the two were detained after Israeli soldiers broke into their houses in the village.
The sources added that a fourth Palestinian was arrested in the village of Qabatia, near the northern West Bank city of Jenin, adding that the Israeli army said that the man was wanted by Israel.
The Israeli army is carrying out daily incursions and arrests all over the West Bank for several years, saying that such security activities aim at preventing violent attacks carried out by Palestinian activists against Israel.
In the Hamas-ruled Gaza Strip, Hamas security sources said that the Israeli naval forces stopped a fishing boat in Gaza Strip sea and detained four Gaza fishermen early on Sunday morning.
The ministry of agriculture in the deposed government of Hamas said that the Israeli army naval forces arrested the four fisherman and took them to an unknown place for interrogation for no reason.
