Israeli Foreign Minister Avigdor Lieberman said on Friday that he sees a "good chance" to start dialogue with Palestine soon.

"We have today a good chance to start dialogue with the Palestinians ... We are ready to start direct talks immediately," Lieberman told reporters at the UN Headquarters in New York after meeting with UN chief Ban Ki-moon.

"It's necessary to create positive dynamism between two sides," he said. "We will continue our cooperation with the UN."

The foreign minister added that Israel is ready for peace talks not only with the Palestinians, but also with "all countries" in the region.
