Israel claimed it had killed a senior commander of Islamic Hamas movement in West Bank city of Hebron on Thursday afternoon.

Israel said that Abdel Majeed Doudeen, 45, was killed during a raid in Dora area in southern Hebron. He was a senior Hamas militant accused of planning attacks that killed tens of Israelis.

There has been no immediate confirmation from the Islamic movement.

Meanwhile, about 16 Israeli military vehicles are still operating in Deir al-Asal neighborhood in Dora. The Palestinian sources confirmed that three people were arrested in the ongoing raid.
