Israel on Tuesday opened two commercial crossing points into Gaza to allow aid and basic needs into the territory.

Kerem Shalom crossing point in southeast Gaza Strip is open and 45 trucks laded with aid for international organizations are scheduled to get in, according to Ra'ed Fatouh, Palestinian private companies' coordinator.

Another 55 trucks for the Palestinian companies would pass Tuesday, carrying flour, sugar, rice, macaroni, cooking oil, children diapers, blankets and fruits.

Israel also opened Nahal Oz fuel crossing, allowing 400 liters of industrial diesel to go for Gaza power plant and 85 tonnes of cooking gas. Israel continued the five-month-old ban on transportation diesel and gasoline from entering.

The main cargo crossing of Karni, which Israel opens it only for wheat and animal fodder, was left closed Tuesday, apparently due to the firing of two rockets by Palestinian militants from Gaza Strip into Israel.

The Israeli media said the rockets landed in Western Negev, causing no casualties.
