Israel on Monday opened commercial crossing points into Gaza Strip as Palestinian militants fired rockets into its southern Israeli territories.

Nasser al-Sarraj, a Palestinian official at Gaza's economy ministry, said Israel will allow 100 truckloads to pass through Kerem Shalom crossing point in southeast Gaza Strip.

"60 trucks are laden with aid for the UNRWA and the international organizations, 30 trucks for the private sector companies and 10 trucks for agriculture sector," al-Sarraj said.

He added that Karni crossing in eastern Gaza city would open for 70 trucks of wheat and animal fodder. The nearby Nahal Oz crossing is also open to allow the deliveries of 85 tons of cooking gas and 400,000 liters of industrial diesel for the only power plant in Gaza Strip.

Israel restricts the flow of cargo into Gaza Strip according to the security situation on the ground. However, a near-total closure has been imposed on the Strip since 2007 as an answer to Hamas' violent takeover of the coastal Strip.

Meanwhile, Israeli sources said a rocket landed in an open area in Sderot city late in the morning, causing no damage.

On Sunday night, a new Palestinian group, calling itself Hezbollah Palestine, claimed responsibility for firing four home- made rockets into Israeli communities near the Gaza Strip.
