Gaza militants fired on Sunday a homemade rocket from Gaza at southern Israel, no injuries or damages were reported, Arabic service of Israeli Radio reported.

The Radio quoted an Israeli army spokesman as saying that a homemade rocket fired from Gaza landed at an area near Sha'ar Hanegev in southern Israel, adding that no injuries or damages were reported.

The Radio said that a Russian-made Grad rocket was also fired on Saturday night from Gaza at the costal Israeli town of Ashkelon. The rocket exploded, causing no damages or injuries.

A group calling itself the Brigades of Hezbollah in Palestine, claimed responsibility on Saturday for firing two homemade rockets from Gaza at southern Israel, saying the rockets' attack is a response to Israeli crimes.

Meanwhile, al-Aqsa Martyrs Brigades, Fatah movement's armed wing claimed responsibility on Saturday for firing five mortar shells from the Gaza Strip at southern Israel. No injuries or damages were reported.

Hamas armed wing and other well-known factions had accepted a unilateral ceasefire with Israel. However, unknown minor militant groups in Gaza are still not committed to the fragile ceasefire.

An Egyptian mediation to reach an 18-month-truce between Gaza militants and Israel had failed after the latter officially announced that it won't agree on a truce deal until its captive soldier Gilad Shalit is released.

Hamas has in return rejected the Israeli condition and said the two cases, the truce and the release of Shalit, are two separate subjects, but expressed readiness to finalize a prisoners' swap with Israel.
