The third Group of 20 (G20) summit concluded on Friday with the adoption of a 23-page leaders' statement pledging future efforts to strengthen the financial system and expedite world economic recovery.

Leaders of the G20 countries, which represent 85 percent of the world economy and two thirds of the global population, gathered on Thursday and Friday for their third meeting since the outbreak of the global financial and economic crisis last September. The previous two summits were held in Washington and London in November 2008 and April 2009, respectively.
