Fresh Storm Hits Sichuan, 2 Killed, 2 Missing

After continuous heavy rain, Dazhou city in Sichuan Province was hit by a fresh storm on Monday, killing two people. Two others are missing and nearly two million people have been affected. The main road of Dazhou city was flooded, with the water level reaching up to two meters.

In Chongqing municipality, the Jiangling River has flooded to its highest peak of this summer, reaching 10 meters over the previous day.

Torrential rain has disrupted transport, communications and the electricity supply. The local government has launched an emergency response and dispatched a rescue team.
