On June 30, the Yellow River Valley meteorological service coordinating committee held video and telephone conference in Zhengzhou to deploy the flood season meteorological service of the Yellow River Valley. Relevant leaders of China Meteorological Administration, other departments, Yellow River Conservancy Commission Flood Control Office and the meteorological bureaus of other neighboring provinces (regions) attended the conference. It introduced the preparation conditions and methods and gave suggestions for how to do the service.

Director-general of the Yellow River Valley meteorological service coordinating committee and Henan Provincial Meteorological Bureau Wang Jianguo said that all the relevant sectors should be aware of the severe situation of Yellow River flood season meteorological service of this year and make preparations in advance; improve the serving capacity and try the best to accomplish great disastrous weather forecast, warning, cooperative prevention and other services.

The condition of Yellow River has always been quite special. There are 2 different sides of the tough tasks: prevent not only the flood, but also sands; guarantee not only the safety in the dam, but also the safety out of it; work for not only flood control, but also for drought relief. According to the analysis, the Yellow River Valley flood control and drought relief situation of this year will become more serious.
