The fourth tropical storm of the year made landfall in Huizhou City in southern China's Guangdong Province on Friday evening. The provincial meteorological administration says Nangka brought heavy rains, which are expected to continue for the next two days in coastal areas as the storm moves northward.

The State Flood Control and Drought Relief Headquarters urged local departments to monitor the situation closely and promptly relocate residents along the storm's route. More than 27-hundred fishermen and more than a thousand boats in Huidong were recalled to port on Friday.
