A photo exhibition on China's relief efforts after a devastating earthquake on May 12 made its display at the Chinese embassy in Jordan on Wednesday.
The exhibition, organized by the Chinese embassy, consists of nearly a hundred of photos depicting the massive destruction of the quake, huge resources poured from the rest of China, and love and unity among the Chinese.
"That was terrible. My families couldn't help crying when watching that on TV," said a local lawyer.
"Chinese should be proud because they have troops who always side with them and are ready to offer help," said a couple from Malaysia.
Wednesday's exhibition is also part of the celebration to mark the 81st anniversary of the Chinese Army's Day which falls on August 1.
A major earthquake measuring 8.0 on the Richter scale jolted China's southwest Sichuan Province and neighboring regions on May 12. The death toll from the quake is close to 70,000, while nearly 20,000 people are reported missing.
