Quake-affected Students Have Summer Camp in Beijing

One hundred students and teachers from two middle schools in earthquake-hit areas in Sichuan Province arrived in Beijing for summer camp on Monday.

Xinhua News Agency reported the 15-day camp, organized by the Chinese Red Cross Foundation, aims to provide a happy summer vacation for the students.

They are scheduled to visit Tian'anmen Square, the Forbidden City, the Badaling section of the Great Wall, the China Science and Technology Museum, the Temple of Heaven, and Olympic venues over the next several days.

In addition, the students will sit some of the lessons they have missed since the deadly May 12 earthquake struck Sichuan.
