The 18-km road linking towns of Suishui and Gaochuan, was once called the "road of death" since more than 100 vehicles were buried or pushed off cliff by landslides when running on it during the May 12 earthquake. It reopened to traffic on June 15 after more than one month's arduous repairing work joined by soldiers and construction workers.
