Quake Death Toll Rises to 69,130

The death toll in China's major earthquake increased by 3 overnight to 69,130 as of Friday noon, the State Council Information Office said.

A total of 374,031 people were injured and 17,824 others remained missing in the 8.0-magnitude quake that jolted southwest China's Sichuan Province and some other areas on May 12.
