Majority of Students in Quake Zone Return to Classes

China's Ministry of Education says the majority of students in the quake zone have returned to classes, as reconstruction efforts progress rapidly.

The ministry says construction of temporary schools is speeding up, and most students have resumed schooling in safe conditions.

Meanwhile, due to the lack of teachers, the ministry and the Sichuan local government have organized teachers from other provinces and colleges to give classes to primary and middle school students. Publishers are providing free textbooks, and a group of psychologists will give the students counseling for a year.
