Agricultural Bank of China to Ensure Deposit Safety in Quake-hit Areas

Agricultural Bank of China (ABC) said on Sunday that it will launch new rules to ensure savings safety in quake-hit areas.

The bank promised to offer multiple assistance and to ensure a simplified procedure to the people who suffered savings safety problems in the 8.0-magnitude earthquake.

According to the ABC, people who lost their valid identification documents in the earthquake, but able to provide the account number or identification card number can put in an application to the bank to enquire about the deposit information.

Those who can not provide either the valid identification documents or the related account number can turn to the police for help.

As for the one who were killed or missing in the earthquake, family members will get access to the account information if they can provide the valid identification card and related relationship certificate.

People who lost their deposit certificate can report the loss to the bank to ensure the deposit safety.

The ABC asked local branches in quake-hit areas to join hands with securities institutions to provide door-to-door service, in order that the people can get in time and proper assistants.
