174 Aftershocks Monitored in SW China from Thursday Noon

From Thursday noon to Friday noon, 174 aftershocks had been monitored in southwest China's quake zones, according to the State Council Information Office.

Aftershocks measuring between 4.0 and 4.9 on the Richter scale numbered 2, while 172 measured below magnitude 3.9.

No aftershocks above magnitude 5 was monitored during the 24 hours, the office said, adding that a total of 9,304 aftershocks have been monitored since May 12.
