Taiwanese Donations to Quake Zones Top 780 Mln Yuan

The donations to the quake-hit areas from Taiwan compatriots and Taiwan businessmen in the mainland have reached 780 million yuan as of Wednesday.

The total amount included those that have been pledged and those that have been actually forwarded to the quake areas, Yang Yi, spokesman of the Taiwan Affairs Office of the State Council, told a press conference on Friday.
