Senior Students Resume Classes in Beichuan

School has reopened in Beichuan County for senior students who survived the earthquake. Teachers who lived through the disaster are back in class, inside newly erected tent schools.

This is a classroom at a temporary school in Mianyang City. The students have new books and they are ready to study. There are fears of more aftershocks, so many of the students study under canvass or right outdoors.

Every effort has been made to create conditions to ease the shock of the disaster and to allow pupils to attend to their studies. Some students say they feel great to be back at the books. Many are now focused on their goal -- study hard and go on to university.
