Slovenia Donates 100,000 Euros to China for Rebuilding Quake-hit Regions

The Slovenian government Thursday decided to send 100,000 euros (some US$154,000) in aid to China for rebuilding after the devastating earthquake struck China's southwest Sichuan Province four days ago.

Slovenia's aid to China is a sign of common European policies based on solidarity and urgent humanitarian aid in case of natural disasters, the government said in a statement.

More than 50,000 people are feared dead in the earthquake that hit Sichuan province on Monday, leaving more than 100,000 injured and the same number of people still buried in the rubble.
