Chinese Premier Wen Jiabao said on Wednesday that it is China's responsibility to send to the world "a message of confidence, courage and hope."

Wen made the remarks at the annual meeting of the World Economic Forum (WEF), which opened in Davos Wednesday with an aim to address the current economic crisis and other global challenges.
