A UN climate change summit attended by around 120 world leaders was put off on Friday, prompting Venezuela's President Hugo Chavez to walk out of the conference room in protest.

The summit was scheduled to start on 10:00 AM local time (GMT 0900), but it remained on hold now and was already more than one and a half hours late.

Chavez walked out of the conference room, protesting late arrival of US President Barrack Obama.
