As concern rises over energy shortages and heavy pollution, the benefits of a green economy have become an inevitable trend. At the China International Green Industry Expo, participants have come to share their insight and inspiration for a green and sustainable growth.

Wonder what you could do with these waste bottles? Well, here are a few tips: you could make them into a shirt, a hat or a waist-bag.

Even this green carpet is made through recycling plastic bottles, which according to the manufacturer, saves energy and cuts carbon emissions.

Stellar Zhang, Beijing Office, Coca Cola, said, "This is the lightest bottle for beverage, at 9.8 grams, ..."

As countries have set down their emission targets by 2020, the change to a green economy is the key to realizing their commitment. Technology is the driving force.

Water, which is a depleting resource, is being put to economic use through this installation from France. The technology has already been applied at the Shanghai World Expo.

Carbon dioxide, which is believed to be the main cause of climate change, is being reduced through technology from Nippon Steel. The installation reduces the amount of fossil fuel consumption, improves the quality of coke and helps reduce global warning.

Gomi Seiji, General Manager of Nippon Steel Engineering Co., said, "The dry quenching technology from Japan cuts carbon emissions while at the same time it effectively lowers the temperature of burning coke. While the Rotary Hearth Furnace recycles the furnace slag and increases energy efficiency. "

Through the exchange of green technologies, many are seeking business opportunities in the Chinese market.

Developing a green economy and addressing climate change presents significant opportunities and challenges for the international communities. The technologies exhibited here provide us with profound inspiration to advocate a green, low-carbon production, lifestyle and consumption."
