Wang Jinlian of the Miao ethnic group, one of the orphans in the Neil Taylor Care Center in Rongshui Miao Autonomous County, will be 10 years old in late November. She came from Laozhaitun in Gaopei Village of Gandong Township, over 140 kilometers away from Rongshui County. In 2007, her dad died after many years of illness and her mother left the family impoverished by her father's treatment. She now lives with her grandma and 2-year-old sister. In the same year, the Neil Taylor Care Center financed by Aijiabei Fund, a welfare organization, was established in Rongshui and Wang became one of the members of the big family, where she received warm care from teachers and other children. The care center supported nearly 100 children's schooling and daily life for free. In her daily life, she went to Minzu Elementary School on the weekday and spent weekend with other children. During the holidays she went back home to see her grandma and sister. She likes dance very much and her dream is to be a dance teacher. [Xinhua]
