Beijing has hosted an excellent Olympic Games, in which the Olympic movement is enhanced, Thomas Bach, chairman of the German Olympic Committee and vice president of the International Olympic Committee, said Saturday.
He also stressed it is a right choise to let Beijing host the Olympics.
Bach, who made the remarks at a press conference at Beijing's Kempinski Hotel, Beijing has presented "a remarkable school report" with its world-class stadiums, well-organized matches and record TV relay of the Games from Aug. 8 to Aug. 24.
The Olympic movement has been strengthened in the Beijing Olymics as 85 countries and regions have won at least one medal, which is unprecedented in the Olympic history, he said.
Satisfactory with the TV audience ratings of the Beijing Olympics, Bach said the TV audience rating in Europe have increased by 20-30 percent, adding that the internet click-rate has also been drastically boosted by the Games.
He also predicted that the event will be positive to China's development in the future.
