Mexican Archer Says It Was the Best Performance of His Life

Mexican archer Juan Rene Serrano said on Friday that to have fought for the bronze medal in a final of archery has been the best result of his life, and that he will focus now on the Games of London 2012.

According to news reaching here, during his second participation in the Olympics, Serrano was closer than ever of winning Mexico a medal, during the seventh day of the Games of Beijing, but the Russian Blari Badanov won beat 115-112.

"In some way I achieved it, but I wanted to leave with a medal. To have been finished in the forth place fills me of proud, but also I'm a bit sad," Serrano said.

Serrano debuted in the Olympics of Athens 2004 in a duel against Italian Marco Galiazzo, but he was eliminated in the second round.

Serrano said that he will continue practicing archery, with more intensity, so in four more years, he could win a medal.
