China beat the world's top seed Hungary 45-43 on Friday to enter the semifinals of the Beijing Olympic Games men's epee team event.
China's Yin Lianchi was hero for the winning team, scoring 18 points in the quarterfinal bout. His teammates Li Guojie and Wang Lei got 14 and 13 points respectively.
For the Hungarians, Geza Imre hit a match high of 23 points, Gabor Boczko, Krisztian Kulcsar and subtitute player Ivan Kovacs made 8, 5, 7 points respectively.
