American sabrists took the bronze medal in women's sabre team event at the Beijing Olympics on Thursday.

The US sabre team defeated France at 45-38.

"We have prepared for three years for the Beijing Games, and we have tried our best. It's really sad to lose the game," said Mary Solenn of the French team.
