Australia's Golden Girl Trickett Gets Her 1st Gold

Australia's golden girl Libby Trickett snatched her first individual Olympic gold in Monday's women's 100-meter backstroke.

With a solid start, reigning world champion Trickett led all the way to the finish and win the gold in 56.73.

US swimmer Christine Magnuson won silver in 57.10 seconds. Her teammate, Australia's "Madam Butterfly" Jessicah Schipper settled for a bronze. Chinese swimmer Zhou Yafei ranked fourth.
