China is on the eve of the Olympic Games with intense holiday air permeated all over the country, said Monday the official Rodong Sinmun newspaper.
The preparations for the Beijing Olympic Games are into the final stage, the newspaper said, adding that the whole country has run into the "Olympic track."
Chinese leaders paid on-site inspections to the gymnasiums and China has taken measures to ensure the Beijing Olympic to be a special and high-standard sports contest, it said.
China launched a campaign to crackdown on pornography and illegal publications across the country. Hundreds of thousands of illegal publications and video products were confiscated in Beijing in July.
Chinese custom has set up a control regime in order to intensify inspection on Olympic cargos.
Transportation and communication for the games were ready. The opening ceremony had a dress rehearsal in the national stadium.
All the efforts the Chinese has taken to successfully ensure the Beijing Olympiad will come to ample fruits, it added.
