The Netherlands is set to send more than 240 athletes to the Beijing Olympics, the biggest squad it ever send to Olympics, Dutch media reported on Tuesday.
The recent qualification of the 4x100 meters relay team means more than 240 athletes will be heading for China. The Dutch Olympic Committee said the definitive number will be announced on July 31.
The previous record was set at the 1996 Atlanta games, when 239 Dutch athletes participated, according to the Dutch Olympic Committee.
