Chinese Embassy in Sudan Celebrates China's 60th National Day

The Chinese Embassy in Sudan on Tuesday evening held a reception to celebrate the 60th anniversary of the founding of the People's Republic of China.
Li Chengwen, Chinese Ambassador in Sudan hosted the reception on the occasion at the Friendship Hall in Khartoum. The representative of the Sudanese President, Minister of Finance and National Economy Awad Ahmed al-Jaz, the Presidential Adviser Mustafa Osman Ismail, Secretary-General of the Council for International People's Friendship in Sudan Ahmed Abdel Rahman Mohamed were attended the reception.
Hundreds of representatives of the foreign diplomatic missions accredited to Khartoum as well as Chinese companies and other organizations in this African country also attended the celebration reception.
The Sudanese finance and national economy minister al-Jaz, addressing the celebration, conveyed the compliments and congratulations of Sudanese President Omer al-Bashir to the Chinese government and the people on the occasion of the 60th anniversary of the founding of the new China, saying "China has achieved significant and huge accomplishments in the different sectors since its establishment, and today it is a milestone either in the economic, development or industrial domains."
"Today, as we are celebrating the 60th anniversary of the founding of the People's Republic of China, we are also celebrating strong relations between Sudan and China that constitute a model for the south-south countries to follow suit," al-Jaz said.
He went on saying that "holding this reception at the Friendship Hall in Khartoum signifies the Sino-Sudanese friendship- the relations which remained unique and solid because it was built on mutual respect and mutual interests."
The Chinese ambassador, for his part, said "China, since its establishment, has achieved many goals in the different fields thanks to the combination of an existing internal policy to achieve social and economic development with a foreign policy based on mutual benefit and concept of building a harmonious world in which friendship and cooperation among the peoples of the world is enhanced."
The ambassador expressed China's appreciation of the supportive stances of the Sudanese government and people toward his country, saying "We are thankful to Sudan for its continuous support to China in many issues, and because of the deeply-rooted relations between the two countries, we have managed to achieve many useful projects for both of our peoples. Our relations have remained standing on respect and mutual interests."
