As the gala for celebrating 60 years of new China enters its final preparation phase. People are curious about what will be different in this year's event. Now its general director revealed some details about plans for the evening.

The 100-minute gala is composed of a community celebration, a fireworks show and a light cube performance.

The light cubes are formed by 4028 trees. The top of the tree beams out light and changes color. These shining trees will make various patterns and light up the Beijing sky.

General Direcotr of Gala Jia Ding said, "The lightshow will be the highlight of the gala. It requires more than 4,000 people holding stage props to perform it. Trees represent life and growth, like our country's development over 60 years. The shining trees will create a huge painting. "

Another main attraction in the gala is the firework show. According to the director, this year's fireworks will be a multi-level show. Fireworks will be set off from the lightcubes and from behind a screen.

Jia Ding said, "The fireworks will be set off from high, middle and low level positions. In previous years, the fireworks show was not designed like this. The difference in this year's performance is that fireworks will be set off with accompanying music. It will be like a grand dance of flames."

The director said this year's unique format means the audience will be able to feel the glamour of the fireworks.
