China beat South Korea 5-4 in the penalty shoot-out to take the women's field hockey gold medal at the 16th Asian Games here on Wednesday.
This was the third successive gold medal for the Chinese women who played scoreless with the Koreans at the end of the extra time.
In the shoot-out, all five Chinese made their shots while South Korean Kim Eun Sil missed the first stroke.
