Chinese Cao Zhongrong won the men's individual modern pentathlon gold medal at the Asian Games here on Wednesday.

Cao scored a winning total of 5768 points, baeting South Korean pair Lee Choon Huan and Kim In Hong to second and third in 5704 and 5628 points respectively.
