Li Caixia beat fellow Chinese Li Ling to take the women's pole vault gold medal at the Asian Games here on Wednesday.

Li Caixia cleared 4.30 meters in her first attempt, while Li Ling only made it in her second attempt to settle for the silver.

The bronze medal went to Tomomi Abiko who cleared 4.15 meters.
