Islands appear as the water level of the Three Gorges Dam dropped to 149.97 meters in Yichang City, Hubei Province, on June 2, 2013. The water level of China's largest water control and hydropower project is set to fall below 146.5 meters before June 10, when major floods around the Yangtze River are expected.
